Mixed use space available for Notts businesses
22/2/2008

Nottingham Regeneration Limited is offering flexible office space for a number of Notts-based businesses at New Brook House, Alfreton Road.

One of the companies to acquire some of the office space is Nottingham City Council Deaf Service, which has taken unit 44 at New Brook House.

The Deaf Service used to be based on Goldsmith Street in the city centre but due to expansion they have moved. The access available for the disabled at New Brook House was something that attracted the business.

Patricia Toy of the Deaf Service said:

“We were looking around for suitable offices and New Brook House really stood out. It has access for the disabled which was really important for our clients, is on a major bus route, and really importantly for us, the manager has sign language skills.

“It is vital that our customers feel welcome when they arrive and are greeted with someone that can communicate effectively with them. We are delighted to have moved into New Brook House with all it has to offer.”

The Deaf Service has taken a 1,200 sq ft unit which has been separated into offices and houses ten members of staff.

The Deaf Service is managed by Nottingham City Council and works with deaf children, parents, children whose parents are deaf, as well as those suffering with other disabilities.

Marc Cole chief executive of Nottingham Regeneration Limited said:

“We are delighted that New Brook House is providing office space for businesses in Nottingham.

“The Deaf Service does a fantastic job and we are delighted to see them carry out their work here, we wish them all the best.”
