FORMER MILL ATTRACTS NEW FIRMS TO NOTTINGHAM
9/5/2008

Nottingham Regeneration Limited (NRL) has successfully let a further 5,700sq feet of space in Provident Works, a former Victorian textile mill situated in Nottingham.

Chambers & McClay Legal Services, the will writing company has taken unit 7 of Provident Works which totals 1,800 sq feet.

Linda Chojnowski of NRL said: "We are delighted that Chambers & McClay Legal Services has taken a unit. Provident Works is a grade II listed building which has been completely refurbished and converted into commercial space.  We still have some more units available that are ideal for SMEs needing a convenient office location near to the city centre."

Director of Chambers & McClay Legal Services, Forbes McClay said: “Provident Works is an attractive building, with good accommodation for our team of 25. It is conveniently located close to the city centre, and the refurbished units make it an excellent prospect for anyone looking for commercial space.”

The former mill, an important part of Nottingham’s textile history, stopped producing net curtains during World War II to concentrate on producing camouflage netting.

Provident Works was completely renovated in 2000 following grants from Europe, East Midlands Development Agency and Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme and now provides much needed employment space.
