NOTTINGHAM Regeneration Limited (NRL) has appointed CB Richard Ellis to carry out the 2008 report on Nottingham’s property market activity.
CBRE, one of the world’s leading commercial property advisers, is currently working on the Nottingham Conurbation Property Activity Report – and the results will be launched at MIPIM in March by NRL.
NRL, the organisation which manages the city’s regeneration areas of Eastside, Southside and Waterside, commissioned the report to find out what sort of changes the city and its wider conurbations can expect over the next few years.
The report will look at various key sectors in the conurbation: economy, office market; the retail and leisure market; a review of commercial investment and the area as a place to live.
The report will not just take a property activity snapshot of the city centre, but will also look at Rushcliffe, Gedling, Broxtowe and the Hucknall wards of Ashfield.
Mona Walsh of NRL said: “We have commissioned the report to find out how the area is expected to change over the few years. We want to know how we as a conurbation can benefit from these changes – and attract big name investors and developers to Nottingham to further the area’s ambitious regeneration.
“We know that Nottingham is a significant force in the UK economy. This strength in performance is due primarily to the city’s expansion into new, high value added business sectors, as well as its sustained presence as a top retail and leisure destination.
“This is a very exciting time for Nottingham as it looks forward to its continuing regeneration. We will use this report to further create the renaissance of the city and surrounding area. We know there is plenty more to be done with growing opportunities across the commercial, retail and residential sectors.”
