NRL RECRUITS NEW TEAM MEMBER
30/1/2009

Nottingham Regeneration Limited (NRL) has recruited a new member of staff to its specialist regeneration team.

Andrew Turner, 26, holds a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Nottingham and has recently completed his post-graduate planning qualification at Sheffield Hallam University.

Previously, Andrew has worked at Lathams, a Derby-based practice of architects and urban designers, and has moved to NRL from the Birmingham office of property advisor GVA Grimley.

Andrew, from Derby said: “I’m really excited by the work that’s going on in Nottingham at the moment and the opportunities which they afford. NRL is a very rewarding environment in which to operate and after studying in Nottingham, it’s great to be back again. I feel I know the city well.”

Whilst at NRL, Andrew will be completing his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) for the Royal Town Planning Institute. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, including football, cricket, golf and swimming.

NRL manages the City of Nottingham’s regeneration areas - the Eastside, Southside and Waterside - and regeneration in the wider city region of Greater Nottingham. It was set up as a public / private partnership in 1998, as a response to a real local need. Nottingham City Council, East Midlands Development Agency, English Partnerships and members of the private sector are all on its board.

It aims to create a physical environment in which the citizens of Greater Nottingham can take pride, and which improves their lives at home, work and play. Marc Cole, chief executive at NRL says: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to Nottingham Regeneration. He’s had an interesting career so far and will be able to bring both experience and enthusiasm to this new role. We look forward to his contribution to NRL.”
