MARC COLE LEAVES NRL
24/3/2009

Marc Cole, the chief executive of Nottingham Regeneration Limited (NRL), is to leave the company to take up a new role on the East coast.

Marc, who has been at the helm of NRL for just over two years, is leaving to take up the role of executive director of regeneration at North East Lincolnshire Council, covering the areas of Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham.

Marc, 45, will be leaving his Nottingham role in late Spring.

Marc said: “I have enjoyed my time here in Nottingham and am sorry to be leaving the city.  However, the move will put me nearer to family and friends and I am looking forward to spending more time with them.  As chief executive of Nottingham Regeneration Limited, I have been committed to helping create a city where people want to live, work and play but I feel the time is right to tackle a new challenge elsewhere.”

“I am very much looking forward to my new role in North East Lincolnshire.  I believe it will give me the chance to share my experience and knowledge of working on major regeneration projects across the UK.”

Marc became chief executive of NRL in January 2007, after spending three years as director of regeneration with Bradford Centre Regeneration

Mich Stevenson said that interim arrangements would be made until a new economic development company is set up. He said: “We wish Marc well with his new challenges and thank him for the way he’s conducted his role here in Nottingham.  Until we can find a suitable replacement for Marc, we will be putting in place the necessary interim management and I’m confident that it will be pretty much ‘business as usual.’”
