The masterplan identified a site on Bath Street, surplus to the Victoria Leisure Centre's redevelopment requirement, as suitable for residential development. NRL commissioned Church Lukas Architects to produce a design and feasibility study for the site and NRL is now working closely with the developer Blueprint who will develop the site out. Currently the proposal is for 17 units, including 13 houses and 4 flats. These houses are built around a courtyard to the rear of the site and include houses facing on to Bath Street and a new link route to be built between Bath Street and Brook Street. It is proposed that housing, which will be for private market sale, will meet the requirements of Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 and have an EPC A rating.
