Westfield holds the long leasehold interest in the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre from Nottingham City Council. There is a Development Agreement in place for the redevelopment and expansion of the existing centre. Westfield has recently obtained planning consent for the wider redevelopment, and improvement works within the existing centre. Phase 1 of these improvements to include works to Drury Walk and Listergate Square and a new food court are expected to start later this year.
NRL has provided assistance to Nottingham City Council for a number of years. This has included advising and assisting on the confirmed CPO (now lapsed as much of the land was acquired by negotiation), including the procurement of external advisors to provide additional services relating to the CPO. NRL continues to provide assistance to the Broadmarsh project.
