A key site alongside the soon to be transformed railway station. The Station Street site is owned by local Nottingham developer Bildurn Properties. Within a conservation area, and abutting a series of Listed Buildings, the owner is seeking to maximise the potential benefits arising from the enhanced accessibility, proximity to the proposed new Broadmarsh Shopping centre and at the heart of the new Southside business quarter. The proposed office based development could incorporate a series of individual offices that could be brought forward on a phased basis. Current proposals include the retention of the Gresham Hotel facade, refurbishment of the former Police station and new build offices surrounding a new public square facing the canal. Ultimately the owner is seeking to extend the scheme with later phases through to Trent Street and to introduce activities into the existing railway arches.
NRL has played a facilitation role with the owner in terms of shaping the nature of the scheme particularly with respect to the heritage and design aspects of the scheme. NRL may be required to assist the owner with site assembly or possibly CPO work.
